The entire Fu Dog team is amazing. Like many small businesses, we threw together a website on our own just to get "something" online. We knew we needed a revamped site, but it never seemed like a high priority. Business was thriving and redoing our site just kept getting pushed to the side. When we decided to finally move forward and stumbled onto Fu Dog's website, we were incredibly impressed. As the cliche goes, if you want to hire a landscaper, drive by their house to see their own yard. If you want to hire a web designer / developer, look at their own website. Fu Dog's site is simple, concise, convincing, strong and current. Working with Ben and his team was effortless. We completed a short survey outlining what our vision for the site was, and outside of providing some of the content wording, we were hands off. Ben provided frequent updates, all of which far exceeded our expectations. We feel our site is awesome, and we have kicked ourselves for not engaging Fu Dog sooner. We cannot recommend their service enough. You don't be disappointed.

Fu Dog and team built the Shopify for Cox Sauce BBQ Sauce. There were many logistics to work around. We’re based in SC. Cox Sauce is produced and orders are fulfilled in NC by a 3rd party. And we ship with several carriers. The Fu Dog team overcame these obstacles easily and delivered a simple, smooth operating site for us to sell Cox Sauce BBQ Sauce. They’re quick to respond and customer service was excellent during the whole process. I highly recommend Fu Dog Media for both Shopify and website design.

What’s in a name? Everything.
The meaning behind Fu Dogs is what inspired us to name our company after them. Plus, they look pretty darn cool.
Statues of fu dogs (as we like to spell it) have traditionally stood in front of Chinese Imperial palaces and throughout Asia, standing sentry at tombs, government offices, temples, and the homes of government officials and the wealthy, and were believed to have powerful mythic protective benefits. Pairs of guardian lion statues or fu dogs are still used today as symbols of protection, to ward off evil spirits from sacred places.
Fu Dogs are usually depicted in pairs consisting of a male leaning his paw upon an embroidered ball (in imperial contexts, representing supremacy over the world) and a female restraining a playful cub that is on its back (representing nurture).
