UpCity Certification Explained

Creating and maintaining a profile on UpCity is always free. For B2B service providers who want to get even more out of their profile and listings, including increased visibility and additional partner features, we offer certification and sponsorship at varying tiers.

How is my Certification Determined?

Your certification is determined by which UpCity partnership you choose. Certified Partners unlock great UpCity features, while Certified Sponsors unlock the same features (plus some more!) with the additional benefit of more traffic.

Certified Partners

Features include profile enhancements to showcase more of your work, priority list placement, UpCity insights, white glove review recruitment, participation in our expert postings, access to detailed Recommendability Rating details, and much more.

Certified Sponsor

Every Certified Sponsor has access to the same great features of Certified Partners, with the added ability to appear on unlimited listings and acquire more traffic. Your Certification Tier is determined by the number of lists on which you are certified, the size of the local market, the services that you offer, and your overall growth objectives.

Depending on these factors, a Certified Sponsor will fall into one of three certification tiers: Gold, Platinum, and Diamond, with Diamond being the highest possible tier.

How long does it take to see benefits from my certified listing?

As a general rule of thumb, the longer your business listing is certified and the more positive reviews you gather, the more visibility and activity you will see.

The geographic location of your business and the popularity of the services you are certified for also play a major role in the amount of activity your profile receives.

Can I be certified on multiple lists?

Absolutely, as long as your business fits the requirements for the lists on which you wish to be certified.

This includes, but is not limited to, a physical presence in the local market for a given list and the offering of services pertinent to a given list. For more details, please see our methodology page.

Does my certification level guarantee a position on a list?

We cannot predict or guarantee a specific placement on a list, however, certification & sponsorship allows you visibility into what bracket your business will fall into. Additionally, improving your Recommendability Rating by collecting positive reviews, improving your organic search rankings, engaging with our community and more, can increase your rankings on lists.
