What Makes Us Different?
Driven by a passion for solving HR challenges and an entrepreneurial spirit, Robin Throckmorton founded Strategic Human Resources, inc. in her basement in 1995. Starting her own company was no easy task – especially as a mom of two babies born only 13 months apart. Yet, rarely can you stop a woman on a mission. And unstoppable she was as Robin worked to grow her business helping small and mid-sized organizations to meet their critical needs with exceptional, customized HR support.
As a result of building an outstanding reputation as a trusted partner in developing, strengthening, and managing clients’ HR and recruiting functions, the company’s client base quickly grew. This led to the addition of HR and recruiting experts as employees and contractors working out of their own home offices to help Robin fulfill our mission.
In May 2020, we proudly celebrated our 25th year in business. Shortly after reaching this milestone, strategic HR inc. joined Clark Schaefer Hackett to lead their Strategic HR Business Advisory Services.
As we continue to grow and evolve, we remember the place (or basement) where we began. Our roots have allowed us to use our own experiences of being a rising small business as we provide outsourced HR support to our clients, helping them to prosper and grow – and we wouldn’t have it any other way!
We understand that a “one size fits all” approach doesn’t work. That’s why we develop client-focused partnerships and innovative solutions designed to meet our clients’ unique needs.
